Rising from the ashes of “Unamed”, we’ve been building something new with Swakeleys — writing and developing our own original music, with releases coming soon. We’re a four-piece band inspired by the likes of The Beatles, The Stone Roses, The Libertines, and Wunderhorse, combining classic influences with our own modern sound.
We’ve been playing together as a four-piece since the summer of 2025, spending the months since October building up a catalogue of songs and finding our sound along the way. Our debut single started life in the most unglamorous of places — a local Dixies Chicken, where Josh first played us the track. Something about it immediately clicked. Since then, the song has taken on a life of its own, pushing us into new territory and encouraging us to experiment more freely than we ever expected.
On the 30th of June, our first single, Sulking, will be officially available on all streaming platforms. As Swakeleys band, we're incredibly proud of this achievement, and we feel that this single sets the bar high for the exciting things still to come, especially as we prepare for our upcoming live music events and music showcases.
This song has been in the back of our minds since October, and since then it has taken on many different forms, ultimately resulting in the track that came to be. What started as a simple idea slowly grew through rehearsals, rewrites, and countless conversations, evolving every time we played it. Along the way, it became a song that really represents where we are as a band right now.
Sulking is the first piece of music we're putting out into the world, and while it marks an important milestone for us, it also feels like the beginning of something much bigger. We can't wait for everyone to hear it, and we've already got plenty more music waiting in the wings, ready to be showcased.

Recorded over one night at The Trinity, this EP captures us as we were—four of us on stage with no studio polish, just the songs that got us here.
There are mistakes throughout, missed notes and imperfect moments, but that’s exactly what we wanted to keep. It feels honest, loud, and real in a way a studio recording never would.
"I don't mean to start a fight"
"I see you there, I see you drowning"
